Scope

Historic Farmyard Building Ensemble at Oldbridge Estate in Drogheda, Co. Meath. Directly adjoining the battlefield of Battle of the Boyne, is the historic farmyard complex, to the south east of main house, not far from the entrance gates.
Egg And Dart Project was commissioned by OPW and National Historic Properties Oldbridge Estate Management Team to deliver a full digital survey of the existing structures and site plan including areas outside the curtilage of the farmyard.

Key Activities

Before comencing survey work we met with National Historic Properties Oldbridge Estate Management Team to walk the areas involved, seeing the limitations for access and risk assessing those and see, what the extents of the boundary should be for the purposes of this exercise.
Works consisted of a complete measured survey of the buildings of the farmyard to provide accurate floor plans, section and elevations to assist the enabling works contractor.
Next phase consisted of a complete topographical survey of the farmyard and grounds surrounding Farmyard Building Ensemble.
Final stage consisted of preapration of very detailed drawings, showing the actual condition of the existing structures including areas outside the curtilage of the farmyard.
