Scope
There was a time when Shrewsbury Road outranked the best of Beverly Hills and even Via Suvretta in St Moritz, when it was deemed to be the sixth most expensive street in the world, back in 2007.
The allure of this pleasant tree-lined avenue, hid another architectural gem the Wilton.
Egg And Dart Project was commissioned by Lyons Kelly Architects, to carry out a full digital survey that accurately captures features of this historic building. This type of survey is essential for creating precise architectural plans, documenting historic structures, planning renovations. It provides a comprehensive understanding of a building’s layout, structure, and other critical details.
Key Activities
Works consisted of a complete measured survey of the buildings, to provide accurate floor plans, sections and elevations.
For client request, highly detailed survey of all of the historic fabric such as: window, window frames, doors, door frames, staircases, stairwells, cornice, architrave, were carried out using electronic total station and was supplemented by traditional hand measurement.
Next phase consisted of a complete topographical survey of the site.
Final phase consisted of a preapration of very detailed sets of drawings.
