Scope
A restrained, handsome Victorian convent with some fine detailing, such as shouldered windows, a panelled door and cast-iron gates. The chapel is an attractive addition to the site, enlivened by simple coloured glass and a bold roof.
Egg And Dart Project was commissioned by Randal McDonnell Architects to deliver a full digital survey that accurately captures the physical dimensions and features of all the historic buildings that belongs to the convent. This type of survey is essential for creating precise architectural plans, documenting historic structures, planning renovations. It provides a comprehensive understanding of a building’s layout, structure, and other critical details.
Key Activities
Works consisted of a complete measured survey of the buildings, to provide accurate floor plans, sections and elevations.
Next phase consisted of a complete topographical survey of the site.
For client request, highly detailed hand measurement of all of the historic details was carried out using electronic total station and was supplemented by traditional hand measurement.
Final phase consisted of a preapration of very detailed full set of drawings.
